LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! At UDUK, we are extremely excited as we enter October with the 2022/23 season upon us. A summer of planning is beginning to have visible rewards as, over the last few weeks, darts societies across the country have attended freshers fairs. Societies have grown, and given opportunities to the next batch of UDUK players. Firstly, we would like to welcome the universities who have joined (or re-joined) UDUK, in recent weeks: • Bangor University • Coventry University • Edge Hill University • University of Glasgow • University of Gloucestershire • University of Liverpool • University of Oxford • Staffordshire University Alongside our existing member universities, we are sure this season is going to provide plenty of exciting action and many a leg finishing on double 1. <h2>Fees </h2> Despite nationwide financial pressures, we have endeavoured to keep membership fees as low as possible, to ensure opportunity for all. Fees are still half of what they were pre-pandemic, and we are constantly striving to reduce existing operating costs and provide more value for money. The annual costs for this academic year are as follows: • £25 per team (6 Player Teams – North East, North Central &amp; Midlands) • £20 per team (4 Player Teams – North West &amp; South West) Fees are required to be paid by 01/11/2022. If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to let us know. <h2>Fixtures </h2> Captains and Presidents have now been provided with the confirmed fixtures for Term 1. Term 2 fixtures will be released later this year, to allow us to adjust to any issues that teams may encounter during Term 1, and to facilitate the entry of any additional teams into the latter half of the season. Information regarding league formats has been distributed via our social media channels. Once again, if you have any issues with fixtures, please do not hesitate to get in contact. <h2>Rules </h2> Do not switch off now. This may be the boring bit, but it is also important. With a new season, fresh opportunities arise to evaluate, improve, and clarify our rule book. We are working to streamline our existing rulebook, however, it is still in use. The key points can be found in the new Matchday Charter. Also, you must read, understand and agree to our new Privacy Policy &amp; Safeguarding Policy document, prior to taking part in or spectating your first UDUK match this academic year. <h2>Events </h2> We teased the announcement of UDUK events in our previous update, and they are coming close. Keep an eye out for information on Northern Singles, Scottish Singles, Southern Singles, and Big Weekender in the coming weeks and months. We guarantee that these are events not to be missed.
